2020 Limited Edition Holiday Ornament

SKU
9-08459

Now in its 17th year, the annual Limited Edition Holiday collectible ornament — designed exclusively for Made In Washington — has become a true local tradition. Several past designs were even selected to represent Washington State on the White House Christmas tree!

As you may know, Washington son Bing Crosby (1903 - 1977) recorded the song "I'll Be Home for Christmas (if only in my dreams)", for Decca Records in 1943. Back then, this song took on the meaning of a homesick letter from service men & women, who longed to be home for the holidays during World War II, to their families.

This year, the lyrics once again ring true and speak from the nation's heart. Christmas eve may find many of us far away from family and friends. And just like the tender place that Crosby recalls in his holiday classic, for many, travelling home will only be a dream as the pandemic continues.

With the 2020 Limited Edition Ornament we celebrate special things we'll long for — the snow, the mistletoe, the presents by the tree, and most of all the lovelight that gleams when our friends and family gather near. Let the ones that are dear to you know that they can plan on you for holidays to come with the 2020 "I'll Be Home For Christmas (if only in my dreams)" ornament. An ideal keepsake to share with family & friends or to add to your own ornament collection.

Each handmade, individually numbered blown glass ornament is unique and comes in Glass Eye Studio's stylish gold keepsake window box. Also includes a card indicating its Limited Edition series number. This year we're only offering 2,020 total. Approximately 3" in diameter.

About The Maker

About Glass Eye Studio

(Seattle, Washington)

Glass Eye Studio was founded in 1978 with the mission to provide young glass artists the opportunity to make a living while they develop their artistic voice. Today, Glass Eye has multiple aspiring artists who work in conjunction with the core team of talented glass blowers who make the company strong.

Everything sold by Glass Eye Studio is made by hand in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Because each item is produced individually, there can be slight differences among pieces, giving each its own artisian character.  Each piece that Glass Eye produces includes fragments from Mt. St. Helens 1980 eruption!

So many prominent glass blowers have spent time at Glass Eye Studio, that local artists like to say "All roads lead to "The Eye".
