Tulips in Skagit Valley
Skagit Valley has two great places to see a wide variety of tulips - Tulip Town, and Roozengaarde (also great as a late spring destination, with irises blooming in May, and daffodils currently in bloom).

Most of the fields are open Monday - Saturday around 10 am until approximately 5 pm. Depending on the location, there is an admission fee, and many bulbs are for sale at each location.

Keep in mind that the fields will probably be muddy, so bring easily washable shoes - or just walk barefoot and enjoy the clay between your toes!

Daffodil Festival
The Daffodil Festival will celebrate its 75th year during the 2008 festival season and takes pride in calling the great State of Washington, specifically Pierce County, its home. Don't miss the 75th Annual Grand Floral Street Parade - April 12th, 2008

The Festival is an annual event that culminates in April with a Grand Floral Street Parade, which travels through the cities of Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting, all in one day.

The Theme for 2008 will be "75" Years, Remembering Your First Daffodil Parade".

For start times and locations, go here and select the city you'll be in.

Washington Cask Beer Festival
The Cask Festival is a major highlight of the Pacific Northwest beer festival scene, featuring over 60 one-of-a-kind handcrafted cask-conditioned beers from the state's most innovative breweries.

Breweries from all over our state - and a couple of neighboring states - will feature their best beers. A complete list is available here.

Cask-conditioned beer is unfiltered beer brewed in a traditional method that naturally conditions the beer without introducing artificial carbonation. At the end of fermentation the beer is transferred to a cask where live yeast continues conditioning the beer. This process creates a gentle, natural CO2 carbonation and allows the flavors to develop, resulting in a richer and smoother beer.

Traditionally cask-conditioned beer is served at the cellar temperature (around 55°F) and dispensed by gravity or drawn manually with a handpump (or a “beer engine”).

Designated driver admission is $5 and is available at the door only. Two of our team members (Steve, the Systems Analyst and Amanda, the E-Commerce & Marketing Specialist) will be out there tasting and voting for their favorites - we hope to see you there!

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Use the FREE Monorail (Noon-3 PM) to travel from Westlake Park to the Seattle Center for the 2007 Irish Festival.
